Hello from the PTFA,
At Garstang St Thomas we are delighted to be involved in raising money and organising events to support the school.
In the last few years we have organised lots of events that have raised funds for the school as well as being a lot of fun for everyone involved!
These included:
- The school’s 50th Anniversary Celebrations
- Movie nights
- Valentine’s Disco
- Summer Ball
- Summer Fair
- Mad March Hair Day
- Personalised Christmas cards
- Halloween Party
- Victorian Evening
- Manchester Christmas Shopping Trip
- Sweet/Cake/Book sales
The money raised has been used to buy more books for the library and reading schemes, fund school trips and develop the school playground.
We are always looking for new ideas and new members to help with organizing events. If you’d like to get involved please see the school office or one of the committee.

The aim of the PTFA at Garstang St Thomas’ is to raise money for your children – and to have lots of fun doing it!
Over the years, we have had a huge number of very successful events – the Summer Fayre, The Summer Ball (grown-ups) Winter Ball (children!), Secrets Room for Christmas and Mothers’ Day, Bingo, Car Boot Sale, Fashion Show, Easter Egg Hunt and Treasure Hunt. Smaller fundraisers such as the 100 club, Raffles, Summer Money, Tuck Shop, the School Calendar and Photo shoots have all helped to raise thousands of pounds to enable the PTFA to buy School some much needed equipment as well as help with the cost of School trips.
